Apartment access can affect the cleaning day as much as the room count. Confirm the building arrangements before the team arrives.

Ask the building manager about contractor access, loading areas, lift bookings, parking limits and permitted hours. Share the apartment level, entry instructions and a contact person. If a fob is required for lifts or rubbish rooms, make sure it remains available until the work is complete.
Cleaning is easier to scope once boxes, food and personal items are removed. Empty the agreed cupboards and appliances. Keep water and electricity connected for vacuuming, hot-water work and final checks unless the property manager directs otherwise.
A routine clean does not automatically include furniture, abandoned goods or bulk rubbish removal. Confirm what the building accepts and when Auckland Council collections occur. Do not leave bags in common areas or overload shared bins.
Photograph the rooms after surfaces are dry. Check the balcony door track, internal glass included in the scope and any building-specific items. Return every key, remote and fob using the agreed method, and record the handover if it happens outside office hours.
